NEWS: League of Legends 2015 Ranked Play Season Ending Next Month
      League of Legends

With all the excitement of the World Championships and so much at stake for those competing, it can be easy to forget that there's something on the line for the average League of Legends player as well. The ranked season for 2015 will soon be drawing to a close, so if you haven't yet hit your goals for ranked play, you'd better get working on them soon.

November 11th at 12:00am (local time for your region) will mark the end of the season, at which point you'll be able to figure out what ranked rewards you've earned. Anyone who hit at least Gold V in solo queue will be awarded the Victorious Sivir skin, and the champion if you don't have her (the teaser for the skin is in the title image, above.) You'll also have a brand new border for the in-game loading screen based on what tier you finished in, as well as a summoner icon.

For those that participated in ranked team play, you'll receive a new ward skin based on how many points your team accrued over the course of the season.

Of course, keep in mind that these rewards will not be available to those who are currently chat/ranked restricted when the season ends, or for other excessively negative in-game behavior. So, as long as you weren't super toxic, you should be good to go!

NEWS: Heroes of the Storm Patch Notes - Oct. 6, 2015
      Heroes of the Storm

A new patch was released today for Heroes of the Storm, and a lot of changes have come with it. First off, in case you missed it, Lt. Morales is now in the game. Based off of StarCraft's Medic, she lives up to the billing. Here is her full ability list:

      • Caduceus Reactor
        • Regenerate 3% of your maximum Health per second after not taking any damage for 4 seconds.

      Basic Abilities

      • Healing Beam (Q)
        • Heal an ally for 20 Health per second as long as they are in range. Reactivate to switch targets, or activate your Trait to cancel channeling.
      • Safeguard (W)
        • Grant target ally Resistant, reducing damage taken by 25% for 3 seconds.
      • Displacement Grenade (E)
        • Fire a grenade that explodes on the first enemy hit, dealing damage, and knocking enemies away.

      Heroic Abilities

      • Stim Drone (R)
        • Grant an allied Hero 75% Attack Speed and 25% Movement Speed for 10 seconds.
      • Medivac Dropship (R)
        • Target a location for a Medivac transport. For up to 10 seconds before takeoff, allies can right-click to enter the Medivac.

Some warriors received a bit of love in the attempt to return them to prominence at the highest levels. Heroes such as Diablo, Chen and Stitches got some updates, in the hopes they'll no longer be bottom-tier Warriors.

Oh, and did I mention Zeratul nerfs?

      • Basic Attack damage reduced from 47 (+13 per level) to 47 (+12 per level)
      • Blink (E)
        • Wormhole (Talent)
          • Blink reactivation time reduced from 3 to 2 seconds
      • Void Prison (R)
        • Casting range reduced by 50%

Yup. Zeratul nerfs. Other than that, there have been a ton of bug fixes, art and UI updates, and more. Check out the full list of changes right here.

NEWS: Hearthstone to Be Fully Localized for Japan
      Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

For quite some time, many Japanese players have been enjoying Hearthstone by playing on the North American servers. Soon, they'll have the option to play on the Asian server, with a fully localized version of the game including Japanese text and brand new voice acting. For those curious, you can check out a bit of the latter in this video:

In addition, Blizzard Entertainment has set up a promotional site for the Japanese version of the game. Users can submit their battle.net email address to be notified when it goes live, as well as receive one free card pack. There has been no official confirmation, but based on past events, it seems likely that the free pack will be available for players in any region.

Of course, there are concerns from some players. The top comment on the announcement article is a Japanese player explaining that they won't be able to communicate effectively with Korean or Taiwanese players, and also expressing the concern that they'll lose their friend list from the NA server if they are forced to switch. There is no word yet on whether changing to the Asia server will be mandatory or optional for Japanese players, but it's clear there are many hoping they won't be forced into it.

Either way, having the option for a fully localized version of such a popular game should be a net positive, overall. Expanding in this way means Blizzard sees a long-term future for the game, which should be exciting for the player base.

NEWS: Kindred Spotlight Released, but Champion Pushed to Patch 5.20
      League of Legends

The next champion in League of Legends is going to be Kindred, the Eternal Hunters. Riot Games has done a fantastic job hyping up the champion's release, with haunting lore and an incredible story to accompany Kindred. The champion was originally slated for release during the current 5.19 patch, but unfortunately a bug has forced Riot to delay Kindred until the 5.20 patch.

Riot Iniquitee posted this on the official boards:

We found an important, gameplay-impacting issue that we can't release, specifically related to Kindred. Rather than rush a fix out the door, we are going to take due diligence to maintain the integrity of the game and release Kindred (all fixed up) next patch, once it has had adequate coverage. Until that time I hope Worlds can sustain your hype train. We really can't wait to get this champ in your hands and see what you can do with them. They are (still) coming!

For those still itching to get more of Kindred, the official champion spotlight was released today. Check it out below!

Orsinium Takes TESO Players to the Orc Capital in Next DLC
      TESO Orsinium DLC Announcement
      The Elder Scrolls Online

The next major DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited has been unveiled, and will take players to Orsinium, the ancestral home of the Orcs. The new DLC will be playable at any level, with players answering the call of King Kurog to join in the effort to assist in the rebirth of Orsinium.

Some of the major features awaiting players in Orsinium include:

New PVE Content for All Players
Adventure through hours of captivating new content, no matter your level.

      The Maelstrom Arena
A new solo arena challenge, The Maelstrom Arena, features nine combat rings and two different difficulty levels. Test your might against the fiercest enemies imaginable as you, and you alone, fight for your life and if victorious, are granted generous rewards.

      New Public Dungeons
Old Orsinium and Rkindaleft, Orsinium’s sprawling public dungeons, feature all new-challenges for both solo and group play.

      Orisinium-Exclusive Rewards and Items
Enjoy powerful new gear, unique crafting styles and other rewards inspired by the history and denizens of Wrothgar.

Be sure to check out the official trailer for Orsinium below for a brief look at the above includes and more. The Maelstrom Arena looks particularly interesting, though I’m also glad to see that a decent amount of group content is being added with the DLC as well.

As with the recent Imperial City DLC, access to Orsinium is included with an active ESO Plus membership, or can otherwise be purchased via the Crown Store for 3,000 crowns. The DLC will see slightly staggered release dates for the various platforms as outlined below:

      • PC – November 2, 2015
      • Xbox One – November 17, 015
      • PS4 – November 18, 2015

In the meantime, Orsinium will also be hitting the TESO PTS later today so players on PC will be able to preview and help test the new DLC over the next few weeks prior to the official live date.
