[Resolved] LUA Errors

7 posts in this topic

The first error I got while running around Timeless Isle a while back (I think it was four to five days ago), I wasn't engaged in combat with any bosses (or any mobs for that matter), it just popped up. The second error I got around four seconds after Sha of Pride started (today).

script too long on PlaySoundFile, that's a new one. If you don't mind me asking? how fast is machine? What kind of fps did you have on sha?

Both issues happen when computer takes too long to load something and blizzard blocks it because they think the mod is why your computer is slow. First one happened because dbm still loads world bosses in combat. I really think I need to change that even if it means upsetting some people.

If I remember correctly I had 38 FPS (it dropped down a couple of times though) while WoW settings were on Ultra for the Sha of Pride. On Timeless Isle sometimes I get FPS spikes due to the sheer amount of people.

The sha issue is baffling and unfixable. the isle one i just fixed by disabling loading of world boss mods during combat.

Message : [ADDON_ACTION_FORBIDDEN] L'''AddOn "DBM-Core" a tenté d"appeler la fonction protégée "RemoveTalent()"

Time : 09/20/13

Stack: [C]: in function 'RemoveTalent'

Interface\FrameXML\StaticPopup.Iua:3823: in function 'StaticPopup_OnClick'

[string "*:OnClick"]:1: in function <[string "*:OnClick"]:1>

Locals: <none>

Yeah, that taint is blizzard stupid. I decided I seen enough reports on it that I just embedded a library that fixes blizzards bug. Which sadly, does blizzard a favor and lets them off the hook for it. :\
