DBM 6.1.2 Released
BOSS_KILL tested and enabled for kill detection on 5 man bosses and world bosses to be more accurate. Added option (on by default) to use class coloring in Special Warnings. Added support for playing dbm sounds through Dialog sound channel, in addition to existing SFX and Master audio channel options. This is now a drop down item in General Options. Blackrock Foundry:
Target scanning for Hansgar's uses an even newer method to find jump target. This new method never fails to find a target, ever. It'll even detect Hansgar switching targets at last second in the event fade or feign death or something is used, or if his target dies before he leaps. Gruul will now give typical group counts soak sequence in Inferno Slice messages in addition to regular count. (ie 7-1, 8-2, 9-3 on mythic) DBM should now have timer correcting code for the randomness of 2nd slag elemental spawning at either 35/55 randomly after first spawn during phase 2 blast furnace. DBM will start 35 second timer, but if no slag by 40 seconds, it'll create a new 15 second timer for remainder of time for 55 second spawn. Add timers for some of add spawns (particularly fire menders) should be slightly improved on Blast Furnace encounter. Added a new infoframe drop down option on Thogar boss options to change behavior of the trains info frame. Now you can choose between current default "show next train after current train has passed" or the new "show next train immediately when doors open for current train" option which will show next train 4 seconds sooner if you're like me and like to preempt your movement more than knowing where current train is. Added voice pack alert to stop casting on Hansgar and franzok for disrupting roar. Added voice pack alert to gather/share penetrating shot on Iron maidens Added voice pack alert to keep moving during rapid fire on iron maidens. Kromog mod now supports ExRT helper. If someone sends out rune assignments, DBM will detect them and has it's own arrow and hud options. DBM will work as a supplement along side ExRT or as a stand alone. Added drop down option to Gruul to choose mythic soak strategy. 3 group 1 1 1 strat or 2 group 2 2 strat, to control behavior of Inferno Slice warnings. 1 1 1 is default. Added warning for Massive Explosion on mythic blackhand during phase 2. Fixed a lua error that can occur in target scanning for mobs that don't have a boss unit id. Fixed bug that was causing timer text to line wrap instead of truncate. Reference: http://wow.gamepedia.com/UIOBJECT_FontString Fixed lua error that could occur when darkmoon faire rabbit, or moonfang are enraged by a friend or guildy. Related to an apparent 6.1 change to EJ_GetEncounterInfo where it errors now if given an invalid encounterID instead of just returning nil. Fixed a bug where people may have missing custom special warning sounds do to the sounds they have set no longer existing (or being an invalid .wav path). To fix this, meant resetting custom warning sounds to defaults. This update will make you lose all custom special warning sound configurations. This is a one time reset and should not need to occur again and will only take about 5 minutes to redo since regular settings unaffected. JUST user selected sounds from the drop downs. Fixed a bug where drop down based boss mod options would keep resetting to default on mod load. examples would be new thogar info frame option, brackenspore interrupt count drop down, etc. Fixed a bug where status whispers were not correctly detecting if sender is in same group as you are and replying with status to them. Timer recovery will now request timers from 3 highest versions in raid instead of just 1, to resolve an issue where the highest DBM version in raid wasn't actually DBM (but rather a bigwigs user pretending to be dbm that isn't going to answer a timer request). This should resolve issues with timer recovery failing in most cases (unless of course all 3 highest versions in raid are all BW users not actually running DBM) Fixed a bug in target scanner function where target scanners that used a target filter, ignored the nil filter and caused scanner to fail in these niche cases. Fixed a bug where special warning sound filter in rare cases would filter special warning sounds even if the associated voice pack alert for that special warning was disabled. Fixed a another special warning sound filter bug where it would not filter sounds that it should. Blackrock Foundry:
Fixed some lua errors if Boss health frame was used on blast furnace. Fixed a bug where the 6.1 Buff to blast furnace difficulty (faster add spawns) wasn't applied to normal difficulty as well. Fixed bug on Blast furnace where dispel warning was firing an incorrect times for purging elementalists. Fixed a bug where Oregorger interrupt warning would fire for non existent barrage cast when he went into roll phase with Blackrock spines buff up. Fixed a bug where the "safenow" voice alert would play on kromog when you weren't actually safe (did not make it into a rune). Fixed a bug where 3rd marked for death target would not get a raid icon set on them on Mythic Blackhand. Fixed demolition CD on blackhand to be 30 seconds instead of 45 on mythic difficulty Fixed phase 2 smash cd on blackhand to be 31.5 seconds instead of 45.5 on mythic difficulty. Fix couple trains on mythic thogar that gave incorrect information (such as double man at arms wave that was changed to 1 man at arms 1 reinforcements on live). Fixed a bug where first blast timer on blast furnace was too long on mythic difficulty (rest were fine). Fixed bug in "return to dock" warning during Iron Maidens encounter that was causing it to fire before the boat boss was actually defeated. Fixed trembling earth timer on Mythic Kromog. Fixed bug on Kromog where stone breath timer wasn't starting correctly after rune of grasping earth phase. Fixed a bug where Call of the Pack timer was incorrect in LFR Darmac. Fixed a bug where Train wave 9 was incorrect on LFR Thogar (LFR removes train lane 2 from the split and makes it a solo non split adds wave). Fixed a bug where player would get no personal warning for Rupture if boss cast it on them while they were > 40 yards away from him. Tectus win detection should now be faster and less prone to failing if blizzard bug with ENCOUNTER_END or BOSS_KILL being missing, occurs. Fixed some boss health report issues with tectus with the boss unitid changes that came in 6.1. Brawlers:
Fixed a bug where icons auto setting on kill targets for a couple bosses (such as blat) would cause icon to keep appearing and removing instead of appearing once and staying. World Events:
Fixed a bug where countdown/timer on darkmoon faire rings mini game would give incorrect time remaining.
Changed default count voice for 3rd voice to Ravenlord by default. Pewsey is still of course an option if you prefer old default. I just felt option defaults should use the higher quality recordings that sound best. Ravenlord is a high quality studio recorded voice pulled from Heroes of the Storm with good reverb sound that is of similar quality to default 2nd voice, Koltrane. Force reset garrison toast blocker option to defaults (on) since many people who were using alpha versions had theirs set to off by default because it was off by default for a few builds before deciding to make it on by default. During that alpha test, the option default was never forcibly reset so a few thousand users had option off by default still. Many users were requesting a feature to block garrison toasts during boss fights, not realizing such an option already existed, do to this. HUD has been further optimize to literally auto enable/disable itself as it's used instead of enabling for fights it's used on and staying enabled whole fight. Now, if a debuff goes out, it turns on only while debuff is out and then disables when debuff is gone. this further optimizes cpu usage of hudmap to be as efficient as possible. Leaps and bounds better than it ever was in previous incarnations. Several sounds that weren't honoring the audio channel preference, do so now. Blackrock Foundry:
Aknor's warnings on Flamebender are now off by default since they weren't very useful and only felt spammy. Lowered stack amounts for flame bender taunt warnings. Some timer options reset to new defaults to reduce number of timers enabled by default for certain rolls on flamebender Some option default tweaks on Blast Furnace. Stone breath counter no longer resets on Kromog. Disabled all auto icon options on Iron Maidens encounter in LFR. This should make it easier to mark the 3 bosses and better coordinate balancing damage on them without boss mods interfering. This fight requires more coordination than average LFR fight and balancing damage on 3 targets is imperative to success of LFR group, so marking them is pretty big in LFR to coordinate. Brawlers:
Greatly improved warnings to eliminate redundancy. Fighters will no longer get regular warnings and special warnings at same time. Fighters will get special warnings and audience will get regular warnings. World Events:
Removed redundant warnings from Darkmoon Faire mods.

Paladin Simple Questions

WoD is changing up stats as well as talents and very likely other abilities so a thread to consolidate our thoughts on all that would probably be quite useful until the beta comes up and we can do more specific work for each spec.
Gear changes are summarized:
No more expertise, hit, dodge, or parry. All spells and ranged abilities will have the necessary hit chance to always hit a mob 3 or less levels higher than the character. Melee DPS will always hit a mob from behind, and tanks will have the needed "expertise" through spec abilities to ignore an boss's parry.
Reforging is gone.
Extra secondary stats are multistrike and versatility. The previous amplify and readiness stats were too complex to balance properly according to Blizzard and hence scrapped.
For armor pieces (helms, shoulders, etc) the item’s primary stat will change based on spec. Wearing a plate item while specced as holy will give it intellect, while prot and ret will have strength on the armor instead. Cloaks, necklaces, rings, trinkets, and weapons will not change any stats based on spec.
Spirit and bonus armor will not appear on armor pieces but can appear on cloaks, rings, etc. as secondary stats.
The word on tier items so far is they’ll also switch primary stats as well as the tier bonus depending on spec, but won’t switch secondary stats. This might be a problem since each spec will almost certainly value each stat differently so having the same stats between specs could be annoying given the number of combinations of secondary stats available now.
Vengeance is being renamed to "Resolve" and will boost defensive abilities directly instead of boosting AP. Tanks will now do roughly 75% of a pure DPS spec's damage once tuning is done properly. It currently isn't done right, if anyone is wondering.
Resolve: Increases your healing and absorption done to yourself, based on Stamina and damage taken (before avoidance and mitigation) in the last 10 seconds.
New secondary stats:
Amplify is no longer a secondary stat, but might appear on specialized gear like trinkets if Blizzard wants it to again.
Multistrike was clarified by Celestalon to be: “X% Multistrike means: Each ability has two separate (X/2)% chances to hit each target an additional time for 30% damage.” I haven’t seen further clarification on this such as whether it’s possible to have a double multistrike since there are two chances to proc. Celestalon also said that multistrikes (and cleaves) are not dependent on the damage or healing of the ability that triggered them, so there won’t effectively be “double crits.” However, multistrikes (and cleaves) can crit on their own.
Multistrike notes: Blizzard changed it to simply be X% to get one or two hits, so it's capped at a more intuitive 100% instead of 200%. The ability that lets Prot benefit defensively from multistrike is Shining Protector. Some of our self heals benefit from MS as well, and those in turn can trigger Shining Protector last I heard. Ours is the only multistrike tank defense ability that is dependent on others, so it's a double-edged sword in that a good team can perhaps boost us but at the same time a bad one can screw us, and it's harder to simulate the effects.
Readiness is no longer a secondary stat, but might appear on specialized gear like trinkets if Blizzard wants it to again.
Versatility simply boosts damage, healing, and absorbs by X% and reduces all (hopefully all anyway) damage taken by .X%. Ret has a "new" ability called Sanctity Aura which boosts Versatility for all allies within 100 yards. DPS DKs, all Druids, and DPS Warriors also bring the buff as well as a few Hunter pet families.
Bonus Armor can be found on non-armor items like rings and cloaks, and will only work for Prot. Besides boosting armor, it also boosts attack power by the same amount as armor (so 100 bonus armor = 100 attack power)
Crit is staying the same for Holy and Ret, but for Prot there's a "new" ability called Riposte that grants Parry rating equal to Crit rating from gear.
Each spec gets a secondary stat attunement that boosts the stat gain by 5%. For example, normally Holy would get 1% crit from 110 rating but thanks to the attunement they get 1.05% crit from the 110 rating points.
The attunements for paladins are:
At level 100, the ratings conversions for each secondary stat are as follows:
1% crit = 110 rating
1% haste = 80 rating
1 mastery point = 110 rating
1% multi = 132 rating (used to be 66, but Blizzard changed MS to be more intuitive)
1% vers = 130 rating
1% PVP power = 49 rating
Additionally, at level 100 1 point of stamina grants 60 base hit points.
The level 100 talents have all been modified or even replaced since Blizzcon. Here's an overview of the current ones:
Beacon of Faith: Gain a second Beacon of Light. Previously wasn't a separate button on its own, but Blizzard changed it because having the Beacon leapfrog was "annoying as hell" as several players including myself have roughly put it.
Beacon of Insight: Place a beacon on a target and they will get a 30% boost to the next single target heal you cast on them. When they reach full health or you complete the cast that is boosted by 30%, the beacon switches to the most wounded ally in 40 yards.
Saved by the Light: When you or your Beacon of Light target drop below 30% health, this talent generates an absorb shield equal to 30% of the target's health on them for the next 10 seconds. You can't shield a person this way more than once per minute.
Empowered Seals: Using Judgment while also using a certain Seal will give you different benefits. Justice boosts speed by 20% for 20 seconds. Insight heals you for 1% of your maximum health every 2 seconds for 20 seconds. Righteousness increases haste by 10% for 20 seconds. Truth increases attack power by 15% for 20 seconds.
Seraphim: Boost your Bonus Armor, Crit, Haste, Mastery, Multistrike, and Versatility by 1500 each for 15 seconds. Costs 5 Holy Power to use and has a 30 second cooldown.
Holy Shield: Increases block chance by 10%, allows you to block spells (likely only some spells), and when you block you deal 50% of your attack power as Holy damage to your attacker.
Empowered Seals: Same talent as Prot's above.
Seraphim: Same talent as Prot's above.
Final Verdict: Replaces Templar's Verdict. Consumes 3 Holy Power to deal 280% weapon damage as Holy damage. Also increases the damage and radius of your next Divine Storm by 100%.
