How do you guys deal with warrior/rogue T3 loots?

Mage boots huh? So you give priority with the cloth pieces to mages? That in itself is dumb. Warlocks benefit the most from their 2 piece bonus.

Mages benefit from adding 1 crit to their boot slot, thus upping the ignite percentages and increasing raid wide dps. That said, we run with 3 locks, and 2 have their tier 3 boots, so its hardly an issue, and when I say "Mages" I really mean "Damage Casters"

Hmm....I think Warriors are the only ones who need any sort of priority, under any circumstances, on T3 loot...and I'm a Mage myself.

wha? gothik is one of the few fights i still feel like we risk wiping on each week. we actually leave him for after loatheb when we have our silly buffs up, just because the extra damage helps so much at overpowering the spawns.

Derail inevitable.

Once we figured out our CC / Kill orders on the living side it only took us about 5 attempts to get that down, then we just needed a couple tries after that for dead side to adjust to the full spawns. Personally, I enjoy the fight a lot, I guess it just sort of clicked for us. Probably would have been a bit harder if we had fewer than 5 priests though.

Well yeah, we have mages, locks and priests with the boots. I didnt mean to imply we gave them to mages only, simply that the cloth drop kept dropping, not the war/rogue one. Heh

We geared out four tanks with 4/9, then opened up loot to rogues as well. In retrospect, we should have geared out 8 tanks with 4/9 first.

4/9 Bonescythe is a big DPS upgrade for your rogues, but realistically mage DPS outperforms them on most fights that matter anyways. It sucks for rogues, but hey, those are the realities of the situation.

You don't need 8 tanks at with 4 piece for 4H by any means. And what fights are you referring to, because I'm certainly not seeing this difference.

In general as a rogue if my guild said "too bad no tier 3 for you until we gear up our seventy billion offtanks" I wouldn't stick around unless some other concessions are made.

Just curious. How do you feel about Druids bidding on non-healing leather?

We gave a Rogue 6/9 Bonescythe and he ebay'd! >_<

We have already lost 15 Warrior/Rogue pieces to Ebay!

What does that have to do with set item distribution?

As far as that goes, Ghoul Skin Tunic and items that fit into that sort of category are fine. Just stay away from the +hit% stuff and we can all be friends.

Where do you find your mages? We have 5-6 rogues pushing 700-760 DPS, and no mages even close, even with the best PvE spec available.

We will probably hit the 4H with about 6 wars in 4+ pieces with our 2 MT's in 6/7. Atm our primary MT is at 6, secondary MT at 4 (he will be up to 6 when the pieces he needs drop). Otherwise we have 2 more wars with 4 now, 1 with 3 and 1 with a single piece. Some pieces have been opened up to rogues but I think the idea is to have at least 6 of them with the 4+ bonus by the twin emps. We should be hitting Gothik and Loetheb harder now that we've got Thaddius figured out and working for us.

The only fights I can think of where Fire mages vastly rape our rogues are Thaddius and Loatheb. Those encounters also are incredibly stacked towards Fire mage victory however.

What does that have to do with set item distribution?

When sets = tokens shared among classes, it blurs the lines between set and x-class item distribution. There is kind of a continuum:

At the "liberalist" end of the spectrum you have the "We don't need class restrictions on loot" camp.

At the "socialist" end of the spectrum you have the "We should distribute loot where it will be used best" camp.

In between we have what I might call the "opportunist camp". Its more like "We don't need restrictions on what my class can bid on - but we do need restrictions on what your class can bid on" camp.

When I see those sorts of ultimatums, it just makes me curious what camp you fell into. It clearly isn't socialist. Is it the liberalist camp or the opportunist camp?

Our three main tanks get priority on T3, then the rogues get a go at it on roughly the same basis as the secondary tanks. DPS warriors got co-priority with the rogues, more or less, on T2.5 in AQ40, so T3 is hands off for them until afterwards.

I think...

that be the same for us for the most part. Loatheb last night was something like mage, mage, rogue rogue, warrior, rogue mage etc

Let's just say that our BWL warrior loot is extremely poor. During the probably 8 months of farming the instance, we have only geared up 2 full T2 warriors. So naturally in order for us to progress end game wise, we need to gear up a couple of selected tanks first.

Not to derail too much, but... what loot system are you using where (presumably) rogues have been seeing fat days in BWL/AQ40 and warriors are running around in T1 gear and the warriors won't be destroying rogues for T3 purchases until equilibrium is established?

Or are you extending this to "warriors get complete sets, period"?

Not that I have anything meaningful to contribute, simply curious about the scale and details of your question.

If you're going to give priority to an class on cloth drops I'd quite obviously go priest; at least warlocks and mages get doomcaller and enigma :p

Four warriors in 4/9 dreadnaught is when I'd stop defaulting pieces to warriors, beyond that its pretty much overkill even for four horsemen (I guess this depends on the strat you use) and it will make your life easier in many other fights as well. I think after that point your raid will gain more from rogues in BS than more tanks in DN.

That's a good question now that I think about it.

If Wrath drops are bad how are rogues getting the pieces? Do your warriors buy alot of off-spec gear or something? Or are bloodfang drops really bad?

Although deathdealer are guaranteed drops so i'd imagine they have to be getting some?

$3,200 for Rogue/Warrior alt, $800 for gold

Jesus christ. How much did Jedi accounts go for when they were first being sold?

Jesus.

i didn't think any acct still went for that much anymore. I guess i was wrong. hell, a warrior account on my server with both legendaries, full wrath, exhalted ab/av, 1000's of gold only went for like 1000$.

Tier 3 is in demand heh.

The guy who bought the account sold a rank 14 Orc Warrior in 4/9 DN or something like that.
