Honestly our class changes as announced are pretty insignificant from a PvE perspective. Which I like, since I'd rather that my class was working as intended, as opposed to being on the warrior roller coaster of nerf/buff/total rewrite.
IMO, rogues could use another dps bump. While yes rogue damage is decent, it should be a bit higher, probably more in line with hunters. This belief comes from 2 sources. First, pure should almost always beat hybrid dps, which isn't really the case right now based on WoL logging and looking at damage rankings. Second, Blizzard said, granted some time ago, they wanted pure about 5% above hybrid. Again, this just isn't happening.
Rogues are very situational, i.e. combat rogues needing 2 targets to get any benefit from blade flurry (at which point its op). They could do a little bit to the baseline damage, and if needed, scale back the situational damage (BF, KS, Vendetta, Cold Blood, Overkill). But, this is for another discussion.
Any mediocre PvPer can easily disagree with you and say rogues, primarily Sub rogues, have the best mobility in the game hands down. CoS, Vanish, S-step, Sprint, Preparation (glyphed); I shouldn't have to explain what they do. If anything, ms buffs while in stealth makes it easier to open, chase, and reset in plenty of different situations that will bring a lot of moaning to a lot of classes in terms of PvP.
Your response is extremely flawed in that it forces all rogues to play the same spec. My guess is his post was more referring to mut/combat mobility, which is lacking. Given that they just gave DK's a huge mobility buff, because they needed it so much with CoI snare, DG, and that decreption?? crap they put down, it is frustrating to play mut/combat and have to stand there and twiddle your thumbs while people run circles around you. Yes, sub takes care of most of that, but again, that is forcing players to play a specific spec, when blizzard is trying to make it so you can play any spec.
The movement speed increases are really nice for getting to a target after you were snared away from them when you can jump into stealth (I have noticed more and more frequently people are letting me drop combat from range). However, I would like to see something more in line with removing snares/immune for x seconds so that fighting a frost mage as anything but sub wouldn't make me cry.
