Infraction: Mod Sass
Message to User:
This is in response to the private message you sent me about signing.
Maybe I can just impart to you a little outsider perspective, someone whose not hip to the nerd-forum-memme-ego-waltz. Outside of the insulated realm of forum positioning, things like signing one's name is not a large deal. Keep cool my babies, Mr. O'brien likes to say.
I know that straying from the agreed upon forum behavior might deeply disturb you. But try if you can, to look at this objectively, how everyone else sees it: six letters, a good mixture of vowels and consonants, inconspicuously tagged onto the end of a post (perhaps with the intent to foster connection, perhaps not), is so inconsequential in that place people affectionately term the 'real world', that no one cares! (Imagine that.)
Do yourself a beautiful favor and step back. Are you getting caught up in some ridiculous heard-headed mentality where everyone abides by inane rules just because it's the cool thing to do? If that does happen to be the case, it's sadly only a disservice to your vibrant sense of independence and self.
Even if you present the argument that all the relevant information is held to the left in the side bar, it doesn't alter the fact that signing a name is a dozen letters - if anyone deserves to be 'made fun of' (which no one does , it's these people breathing heavily as they snort dorkish disgust over the break of a forum rule that is itself asinine.
Anyway - did I get anything across to you? Does it matter? Nah - I feel better already.
Here it comes...
You just smart-assed over a warning and a mixture of six vowels and consonants, and as a result received an actual infraction. But at least you feel better.
