Infraction: Mod Sass
Message to User:
I will try to contain my disappointment.
You know you don't actually have to hit Enter after every sentence, right? All that does is break your post up into full line/half line/full line/half line garbage that's hard to read. I was hoping for some kind of long-form haiku or something but there's no apparent rhyme or meter, so it must just be bad formatting.
I sent you a warning. Warnings have no real consequences - in fact I sent a warning expressly to prevent you from losing posting privileges over it - yet you chose to get your knickers in a twist and whine at me. Don't waste my time. I don't care that you're not going to help people who are too goddamn stupid to read threads. You're not supposed to anyhow.
See below for the original private message you sent me. What you basically achieved by handing out this particular infraction to me was simply the following:
I am not going to bother helping people in topic specific threads anymore by posting links and such for fear of "back-seat moderating" and getting infractioned for it.
"Back-seat moderating" is not at all apparent from what I posted, apart from the fact I gave a friendly (!) reminder that the material he wanted is already there; this friendly reminder was extremely short and very obviously not the center of my post. The center of my post was being helpful.
If you feel differently, so be it. As I already pointed out above, I am not going to bother anymore with that, as it is apparent such behavior is not wanted.
Suit yourself to be honest.
You have received a warning at Elitist Jerks.
10. Do not back-seat moderate.
We have a Report button. Use it, then ignore the idiot who clearly shouldn't be posting in this thread (or probably at all). The only thing you accomplish by posting is shitting up the thread with another off-topic post. In this case it got even worse because the moron decided it was a good idea to thank you. This means I now get to write THREE infractions instead of just the one that should have been necessary.
And people wonder why I'm crabby.
Why do we use DS when the boss is under 25%? Does it hit more than the SB when our target is under 25% or what?
Read this thread and find out for yourself. The short answer is: yes. DS acts as an execute ability.
Warnings serve as a reminder to you of the forum's rules, which you are expected to understand and follow.
All the best,
