The Naxx Gear wall -- does it exist?

There is debate now about being able to get over the gear wall in naxx with just BWL gear, we've killed the Instructor so far on our first night 2 weeks ago.
How important is AQ40 gear to success in Naxx?
Which classes need AQ40 gear and which need 8/8 of BWL gear?

How long have you been farming BWL?
Oh and if you do one night on BWL and one night on naxx every week, I have to say I doubt you're going to get too far.

The big deal is in the rings, necks, cloaks, and weapons. The Blessed Qiraji items are far superior to anything your casters have right now, BQW is a better tanking weapon, BQB is a better tanking shield, Angelista's Charm beats every other healing neck, etc. Thottbot is as acessable to you as it is to me, I don't need to tell you Qiraji Execution Bracers are better than Bloodfang.
Patchwerk requires 9k DPS to beat, if you can do that without AQ Gear, I'd be surprised.

It's more the coordination required in AQ40 helps with your progression in Naxx. A lot of Naxx fights have a high level of personal responsibility - think Vael, but on a more demanding scale with more things going on at the same time. If you're not used to farming consumables, Naxx will also be a rough to you...
Just little things to note.
There really isn't a gear wall if you ARE wearing T2/T2+ for starting Naxx. It helps if you have AQ40 on farm, but not necessary.

Arguable, and not a huge upgrade anyway.
Thottbot is as acessable to you as it is to me, I don't need to tell you Qiraji Execution Bracers are better than Bloodfang.
If you're wearing only 3 pieces of bloodfang, bracers are strictly superior to Qiraji Execution (I passed them to feral druids and warriors).
Jesus don't want me in a sunbeam
Sunbeams are always made on me
Don't expect me to cry, for all the reasons I'm gonna die
Don't ever ask your kick of me.

2. If you keep dying, go get better gear.
3. Go back to Step 1.
I've been trying to concentrate on studying for my Proof Methods test tomorrow, and all I can think of is your hotness, radiating out from the pixels on my monitor, seared straight into my neurons.
