The first portion of your post is okay, we appreciate people asking how they can help themselves. The 2nd paragraph blog is why you're getting the infraction.
First, thank you to all that have obviously spent endless hours posting and thinking through in a very in depth way all the information that is presented here. I have really enjoyed playing with simulationcraft and learning to use the tool. I do feel like I am still a complete neophite after reading all that I have, but significantly more knowledgeable than I was. Being the noob that I am, I am looking for some documentation that might help me troubleshoot the results of simulationcraft output in comparison to my combat log and help me understand the nuances of improving my spell rotation skills. I currently am not aware of any tools to help with this or any documentation that would help a person gain this knowledge and understanding. If anybody can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I realize the output of the simulationcraft tool produces a best case scenario but I am hoping to be able to look at the best case scenario output from simulationcraft compare it to what I am doing and identify where my problem areas are, i.e. I am losing x amount of dps because I am not keeping the life tap buff up consistently or x amount because I am clipping DoTs, etc., etc.
I have been playing a mage for a little over 3 yrs. I just leveled a lock to 80 and I am in the middle of gearing him. but I am finding that playing a lock is significantly more complicated and I am still trying to get my brain around all the peculiarities of dps'ing with a lock in order to get the dps up. I have dual spec'ed the lock according to discussions of best practices here on elitistjerks.com for affliction and destruction but I don't seem to be getting the dps I should (I am getting around 1400, I think it should be around 2K+ in boss fights in 5 man heroics) with 2 pieces of T9 (albeit I haven't enchanted anything but the T9 because I am replacing gear so quickly). Anybody that can point me to documentation or give me a methodology for sorting this out, would be greatly appreciated.
