You are asking for a simple fix on your healing style. There is none I am afraid. Read the OP , then the comments they have very useful information and then do more research as you practice and practice.

Original Post:

As a Priest who hasn't played but a week of MoP since early Cataclysm, it is quite a learning curve to get accustomed to the 5.2's way of healing as Disc. If you look at World of Logs, just about all of the top HPS records set by Disc Priests are from Atonement healing. I do see that it is quite strong but there are many cases when raid damage is so significant that you must stop to cast other spells. e.g. PoH, PoM, Inner Focus -> PoH, Spirit Shell blanketing before AOE, Cascade, etc. PW:S is so taxing on mana now. I try to use it according to Rapture's CD (using Ingelas Rapture addon), but sometimes I feel as though I may have been better off continuing to Atonement heal. Thoughts? Tips? Anything to speed up the learning process is welcomed!
