Tonight was my first night collecting materials in the Northern Barrens for the war effort, and I became very irritated by the alert/warning sound that would play every time the server sent out a message like:
"A Kor'kron shipment of {resource} has been overturned!"

Eventually I traced the alert/warning sound back to Deadly Boss Mods. Is there any way to turn this horrid sound off without disabling the entire addon? I do want to thank you for the attempt at notifying us of something useful, but for right now it would be nice to be able to turn that particular feature off.

Thank you for providing us with an excellent addon that is a cornerstone in my raiders library.

just hadn't gotten that far yet. one thing about using alphas, you use the features before they are complete.

Update to a newer alpha then you can control setting with these commands

This will turn it off
/run DBM.Options.barrensSounds = false

This will turn it back on
/run DBM.Options.barrensSounds = true

it's a limited time event, so I'm not going to make a GUI for it.

At a later time if i get bored enough i'll do up an entire external mod i won't include in core that has specific messages for different events and warnings/timers and cds for the commanders. maybe if i'm bored enough i'll do this tomorrow.

It's removed from core now and split into a more customizable mod

I re-downloaded core just now, and that god awful noise is still happening the Barrens. I would kindly recommend that that sound file never be used for anything in DBM. It's *horrible*.

it's removed in alpha, not release. we haven't tagged a new release yet.

Our download page at http://elitistjerks....adly_boss_mods/ now has DBM 5.3.2 which fixes this :)

I must be doing something wrong. I have been running:
/run DBM.Options.barrensSounds = true

to turn it back on, but it isn't working for some reason. I am using 5.3.3 alpha(r9737) I liked the sound notification and it worked fine a couple of revisions ago when it just went away.

Thanks,
Matt
